Connor Sweeney Named AT&T Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Connor Sweeney (South Salem, N.Y.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 8-14. Sweeney led the Holy Cross men's lacrosse team to a pair of victories over Colgate and Dartmouth last week.

During the 13-8 win over Dartmouth on Tuesday, Sweeney made 11 saves while allowing just eight goals. He then totaled seven saves while giving up eight goals in Saturday's 9-8 victory over Colgate. Sweeney earned the win in both games, good for the first two victories of his collegiate career. The wins also marked the first time Holy Cross has ever defeated Colgate or Dartmouth in the history of the program.

On the season, Sweeney now stands 2-4 with 56 saves and a 9.83 goals against average. Over the course of his collegiate career, he has now totaled 85 saves with an 11.67 goals against average.

Holy Cross (2-4 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) returns to action on Wednesday, March 17, when it travels to Hartford for a 3:30 p.m. game.
