Before Holy Cross: Three-year member of the varsity lacrosse team at the Governor’s Academy in Byfield, Mass. ... as a senior the team went undefeated and won the ISL championship ... team won an ISL co-championship during his junior year, and an ISL tri-championship in his sophomore season ... also a two-year member of the varsity soccer team.

Personal: Son of Brian and Kathy Hines ... has two brothers (Daniel and Peter) ... father played rugby and graduated from Holy Cross in 1978 ... his aunt (Laura Hines), two uncles (John Hines and Chuck O’Connor) and grandfather (Paul Hines) all attended Holy Cross ... majoring in History.
