Before Holy Cross: Four-year member of the varsity lacrosse team at the Governor’s Academy for coach Peter Bidstrup … helped lead team to three Independent School League championships (2009, 2011, 2012), including an undefeated season in 2011 … won  the team’s Coaches Award in 2012 … also a four-year letterwinner in football … earned All-League honors in football, while helping the team to an undefeated season and the New England Championship in 2011 … played club lacrosse for 3D New England under coach Jamie Monroe.

Personal: Son of Brian and Kathleen Hines … father played rugby at Holy Cross (Class of 1978) … has two brothers (Tom and Dan) … brother, Tom, played lacrosse at Holy Cross (Class of 2012) … brother, Dan, plays lacrosse at Bates College (Class of 2013) … has several other relatives who attended Holy Cross … has not yet declared a major.
