Before Holy Cross: Four-year member of the varsity lacrosse team at Bergen Catholic H.S. for coach Joe Haemmerle … team captain as a senior … recorded 36 goals and eight assists in 2011 … totaled 76 goals and 20 assists during his high school career … earned 2011 U.S. Lacrosse All-Academic honors … selected to the 2010 New Jersey Under Armour All-America Underclassman team … named to the 2009 and 2010 Garden State team … earned 2011 second team All-State and second team All-Conference honors, while in 2010 he received honorable mention All-State and third team All-Conference accolades … received the team’s scholar-athlete award and MVP as a senior … team won the 2009 Bergen County championship … also a member of the Tri-State club lacrosse team for coaches Bob Turco and  M.V. Whitlow … club team finished as the national runner-up in 2009 and was ranked by Inside Lacrosse as one of the 10 best club teams in the nation … member of National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society and National Math Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Kevin and Maureen Ward … father played football at Columbia … has three brothers (Matt, Mark and Brian) … has not yet declared a major.
