Holy Cross Men's Rowing Hosts Quinsigamond Novice Challenge
WORCESTER, Mass. -
The Holy Cross men's rowing team hosted the Quinsigamond Novice
Challenge on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. on Saturday. The
Crusaders' novice A boat of freshman coxswain Corey Beck
(Short Hills, N.J.) and freshmen Pat Rapuano (Penn
Valley, Pa.), Nick Forgione (Haverhill,
Mass.), Peter Prominski (Arlington, Va.),
Kevin Moran (Maitland, Fla.), Mike Walker
(Monson, Mass.), Lucas Netchert (Jersey City,
N.J.), Paul Gaffney (Newington, Conn.)
and Matt Haraburda (Newtown Square, Pa.) took
first in the men's 8+ race with a time of 13:51.656. They finished
nearly one full minute ahead of the novice A boat from WPI, which
took second with a time of 14:51.252.
The Holy Cross novice B boat of freshman coxswain Aaron
Thomas and freshmen Simon Toledano (Cambridge,
Mass.), Andrew Cecchetti (Wall Township,
N.J.), Drew Cumming (Calgary, Alberta),
Steve Raiola (New Rochelle, N.Y.), James
Piner (Portsmouth, R.I.), Robert Weitzel (Milford,
Conn.), Matt Burke and Nicholas Powers
finished in 11th place with a time of 16:14.130.
The Holy Cross men's rowing team continues competition Sunday, Oct.
25 at the Princeton Chase Regatta on Lake Carnegie in Princeton,
N.J. The events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
