Before Holy Cross: Attended the Kent School and was a member of the varsity rowing team as he was a senior captain…was a member of a crew that won the Boy's varsity eight competition at the 2010 NEIRAs…his team won the Senior Cup at the Reading Regatta in 2008-2009 and was second at the NEIRAs.

Personal: Son of Dan and Margaret Traub…both his parents attended Southern Connecticut as his father was a member of the swimming team and his mother was a member of the rugby team…has one brother (Kyle) and one sister (Carly).
