2010-2011: Captain…member of the varsity eight that competed at the Snake Regatta (Oct. 9), placing first out of 20 boats...rowed for the varsity eight for all eight competitions in the spring…varsity eight won the Sullivan Cup by defeating George Washington (April 9)…the Crusaders also defeated Bucknell (April 23) and EARC member Rutgers (April 30).

2009-2010: Member of the varsity four that competed at the 108th IRA National Championship (June 3-5) placing second in the third-level finals and 14th out of 18 teams overall…member of the varsity eight… finished in second place at the Snake Regatta (Oct. 10) on Lake Quinsigamond…won races versus Bucknell (April 18) and Rutgers (May 2).

2008-2009: Rowed with the novice eight.

Before Holy Cross: Played two years at defensive tackle on the football team under head coach John Hanks...won the team's sportsmanship award in his sophomore year...National Honor Society member.

Personal: Son of Ann Marie and Mark Hayes...has one brother, Ryan, and one sister, Kelsey...his uncle, James, graduated from Holy Cross in 1978...double major in Biology and Biochemistry.
