2011-2012: Member of the varsity eight that placed first out of 23 boats in the men’s eight race and set a course record at the Snake Regatta (Oct. 15)...rowed for the second varsity eight in all seven spring regattas...the second varsity eight won races against George Washington at the George Washington Invitational (April 7), Georgetown (April 14), Rutgers (April 22) and Bucknell (April 29).

2010-2011: Member of the freshman eight in all eight competitions in the spring…freshman eight defeated EARC member Rutgers (April 30) and took first place in the third-level final at the Eastern Sprints (May 15).

Before Holy Cross: A four-year member of the varsity rowing team at Fordham Prep….served as 2008-2009 team captain…as a member of the New York Rowing Association he was part of a boat that advanced to the semifinals at the 2009 Royal Canadian Henley…member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Paul and Patricia Ptucha…mother was the MVP and captain of the fencing team at St. Mary’s College…has one brother (Matthew)...majoring in Physics.
