Men's Rowing Competes At Head Of The Charles

BOSTON, Mass. ­­– The Holy Cross men's rowing team competed at the 48th Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles River in Boston.

On Saturday, the Crusaders placed 23rd in the club four race out of 55 boats with a time of 17:59.534. The Union Boat Club won with a time of 16:49.155. Then Holy Cross placed 14th in the club eight race out of 38 boats with a time of 15:59.691. Brown won the race with a time of 14:41.266. On Sunday, the Crusaders placed 36th in the collegiate eight race with a time of 18:04.985 out of 37 boats. The Crusaders collided with a boat while they were attempting to pass it as both teams were given two minutes worth of penalties. The Crusaders raw time of 16:04.985 would have been seventh. Virginia won with a time of 15:44.199.

The Crusaders return to action when they will compete at the Princeton Chase Regatta on Sunday, Oct. 28, on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.
