Men’s Rowing Sweeps Rutgers

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team swept EARC opponent Rutgers on Sunday on the Raritan River. The Crusaders won all three races.

The Crusaders won the varsity eight race with a time of 6:08.1 as Rutgers tallied a time of 6:16.4. The Crusaders' third varsity eight posted a time of 6:24.1 defeating Rutgers' freshman eight which tallied a time of 6:25.1. The Crusaders' fourth varsity eight won its race with a time of 6:30.0 defeating Rutgers' second freshman eight which posted a time of 6:38.0.

"It was a good weekend for the team," said Holy Cross head coach Todd Pearson. "Winning six of seven races over two days is a strong showing and something we'll look to build upon moving forward."

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, April 28 in Worcester, Mass., when they take on Bucknell on Lake Quinsigamond.
