WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's rowing team won two of three races versus Bucknell on Sunday on Lake Quinsigamond. The varsity eight and second varsity eight each earned a victory.

The varsity eight posted a time of 6:17.1, while Bucknell tallied a time of 6:24.2. The Crusaders won the second varsity eight race with a time of 6:27.2 as the Bison posted a time of 6:32.7. Bucknell's third varsity eight won its race with a time of 6:29.3, while the Crusaders' freshman eight (6:30.9) placed second and the third varsity eight (6:36.4) was third.

"I was pleased with how well both the varsity and second varsity rowed today," said Holy Cross head coach Todd Pearson. "In many respects, both boats rowed their most complete races of the season. We've made lineup changes pretty much every week and the guys have handled it well. We will continue to search for speed over these next couple of weeks leading into Sprints so we can be at our fastest on May 19."

The Crusaders return to action on Sunday, May 19, when they compete at the Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond.
