WORCESTER, Mass. – Ten members of the Holy Cross men's rowing team have been placed on the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) All-Academic Team as announced by the Eastern College Athletic Conference. To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of a 3.35 or better, be at least a sophomore at their respective institution and be a varsity letter winner. In total, 157 student athletes received this honor across 25 institutions.
Members of the team named to the IRA All-Academic Team were sophomore Alex Brandon (Amherst, N.H.), freshman Christian Brooks (Nutley, N.J.), sophomore Brian Clark (Westport, Conn.), junior Michael Fitzgerald (New York, N.Y.), senior Nick Forgione (Haverhill, Mass.), sophomore Connor May (Wakefield, Mass.), sophomore Andrew McNamara (Needham, Mass.), senior Kevin Moran, (Maitland, Fla.), senior Pat Rapuano (Penn Valley, Pa.) and sophomore Nick Whalen (Sutton, Mass.).
