Men’s Rowing Earns Two Top Six Finishes At Head Of The Charles
BOSTON- The Crusaders placed second in the club four race and sixth in the club eight race as the Holy Cross men's rowing team competed at the 49th Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles River in Boston.
On Saturday, the Crusaders placed second in the club four race out of 49 boats with a time of 16:39.519 as Union Boat Club (16:05.311) won the event. Holy Cross then placed sixth in the club eight race with a time of 15:04.639 out of 47 boats. Brown (14:26.767) finished first, while Holy Cross "B" placed 24th with a time of 15:59.628. On Sunday, the Crusaders tallied a 24th place finish in the collegiate eight race out of 40 boats with a time of 16:34.659. Drexel won the race with a time of 15:22.279.
The Crusaders return to action when they will compete at the Princeton Chase Regatta on Sunday, Oct. 27, on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J. The novice team will compete at the Quinsigamond Novice Challenge on Oct. 26.
