Patriot League Men's Soccer Preseason Poll Announced
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's soccer team was selected to finish eighth in the 2012 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Defending Patriot League champion Colgate was selected as the preseason favorite with 91 points, including eight first place votes. American (85 points, five first place votes), Lehigh (67 points) and Navy (64 points, one first place vote), all qualifying members of the 2011 Patriot League tournament, round out the top four teams in the preseason standings. Lafayette was selected fifth with 48 points and two first place votes, Bucknell sixth with 47 points, Army seventh with 31 points and Holy Cross eighth with 15 points to finish out the poll.
