- The Holy Cross men's soccer team returns to action when it travels to Fairfield, Conn., to meet Sacred Heart on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 7:00 p.m. The Crusaders will then play at home versus Bryant at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8. The Crusaders are 1-4-0 versus Sacred Heart over the last five meetings between the teams. The Pioneers have won three straight 1-0 games versus Holy Cross. Bryant won the only meeting between the two teams since the Bulldogs moved to Division I with a 1-0 victory on Sept. 8, 2009.
- Sacred Heart is 2-0-0 so far this season with a 2-1 win at St. Peter's and a 1-0 victory versus Columbia. Last season, the Pioneers went 10-5-4 overall and 6-1-3 in the NEC. Bryant is 0-2-1 so far this season with a 2-0 loss to Florida International, a 1-0 double overtime loss to Providence and a 4-4 tie to Rhode Island. Last year, the Bulldogs went 2-13-1 overall and 1-9-0 in the NEC.
- Junior Josh Cintas (San Diego, Calif.) and junior captain Monty Sanders (Temecula, Calif.) each have one goal so far this season. Cintas netted the Crusaders' goal in the 2-1 loss to Quinnipiac. He now has two career goals. Sanders scored the Crusaders' goal in the 3-1 loss to Dartmouth. He now has five career goals.
