WORCESTER, Mass. – Sixteen members of the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league office, including senior John Vatalaro (Strongsville, Ohio) who has earned this honor four straight times. The Crusaders' 16 selections were the second most in the league.
The other members of the team named to the honor roll were seniors Richard Pellegrini (Rockville Centre, N.Y.), Brian Power (Southport, Conn.) and Ned Supple (Needham, Mass.); juniors Ben Chelmow (Newton, Mass.), Patrick Gibbons (Reston, Va.) and Anthony Russo (Stratford, Conn.); sophomores Thomas Horigan (West Hartford, Conn.), Jake McLaughlin (Erie, Pa.), Michael Noone (Stamford, Conn.) and Jack Swain (West Hartford, Conn.); and freshmen Brendan Collins (Burlingame, Calif.), Christopher Keating (Chatham, N.J.), Kevin MacNeill (Newington, Conn.), Joe Terranova (Melrose, Mass.) and Max Trojano (Lakeville, Mass.).
A total of 101 student-athletes from men's swimming and diving teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League-sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
