Adam DeVito Named AT&T Crusader Of The WeekWORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman diver Adam DeVito (Walpole, Mass.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from October 13-19. DeVito was a double event winner for the Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team in Patriot League competition against Lehigh on Sunday, October 19.
DeVito finished first and broke the school record in the one meter, six dive competition with a score of 251.85. The record was previously held by Tim Tuck, set in 2003, with a score of 228.15. DeVito's one meter score was a season best and career best.
DeVito also won and set a new school record in the three meter diving competition with a season best score of 240.90. The three meter, six dive record was held by Louis Minora with a score of 213.13 and set in 1998. In a previous competition against Fairfield, DeVito finished first and second in the one meter and three meter diving events.
Overall this season, the men's swimming and diving team is 0-2 (0-1 Patriot League) and will continue competition on Wednesday, October 22 at Springfield.
