Holy Cross Heads To West Point, N.Y. For Trio Of Matches

- The Holy Cross men's tennis team lost its only match of the week, 7-0, to Nichols at the Pomfret School on Thursday, March 14. With the loss, Holy Cross falls to 0-3 on the season.
- This week, the Crusaders will play a trio of matches versus Patriot League opponents at West Point, N.Y. On Friday, March 22, Holy Cross will play host Army at 8:00 p.m., while the Crusaders will play Lafayette and Lehigh on Saturday, March 23 at 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., respectively. In 2012-2013, Army is 8-5 overall, Lafayette is 2-3 on the season and Lehigh has a 10-3 record.
- Holy Cross lost every match at Nichols in straight sets with the closest game by freshman No. 5 singles player Rich DeGregoris (Rockville Centre, N.Y.). DeGregoris was defeated, 6-4, 6-3. Crusaders No. 1 singles player, sophomore Nick Berrettini (Haverford, Pa.), lost his tilt, 6-3, 6-0.
