Crusaders To Conclude Season At Patriot League Tournament

  • The Holy Cross men's tennis team went 1-3 on the week as the squad won its first match of the 2012-2013 season. After they dropped a close, 4-3, match versus AIC on Wednesday, April 10, the Crusaders claimed the 5-4 victory on April 12 at St. Anselm. The Crusaders finished their regular season with a pair of losses to Sacred Heart (4/14) and UMass Dartmouth (4/15).
  • This weekend, Holy Cross will head to Hamilton N.Y. for the Patriot League Tournament. The Crusaders will open the quarterfinals versus No. 2 seeded Lehigh at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19. Holy Cross is 0-1 this year versus Lehigh as the Mountain Hawks defeated the Crusaders, 7-0.
  • Holy Cross senior Scot Brownell (Plymouth, Mass.) and junior Chris Brosnan (Garden City, N.Y.) won two singles matches this week versus AIC and St. Anslem. The pair also claimed a victory in a doubles match versus St. Anselm.
  • Junior co-captain Ryan Sullivan (Medfield, Mass.) won his first match of the season at No. 1 singles during the St. Anselm match.
