Men’s Tennis Defeated By Stonehill, 9-0

EASTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's tennis team fell to Stonehill, 9-0, on Friday afternoon at the Charles Watt Tennis Courts. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 0-1 overall, while the Skyhawks improve to 1-0 overall.

Stonehill swept the doubles matches as the Skyhawks took the No. 1 doubles match by an 8-5 score, No. 2 doubles by an 8-3 score and No. 3 doubles by an 8-6 score. Stonehill also won all six singles matches to earn the 9-0 victory. Senior captain Ryan Sullivan (Medfield, Mass.) lost the first set of the No. 1 singles match in a 7-5 tiebreaker, while he then lost the second set 6-4 to Nick Hyzak.  

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Sept. 14, when they compete at the Connecticut College Tournament in New London, Conn.
