Men's Track & Field Finishes 14th At Joe Donahue Indoor Games

ROXBURY, Mass. – Senior Chandler Fenner (Virginia Beach, Va.) led the way for the Crusaders finishing sixth in the 55 meter dash with a time of 6.62 seconds and landing in the top 10 of the long jump (6.51 meters) as Holy Cross finished 14th in team competition at the Joe Donahue Indoor Games at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Freshman Mike Galasso (Danvers, Mass.) finished fifth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.40 seconds while sophomore Ross Davies (Salem, N.H.) added another top 10 finish for the Crusaders with a time of 23.15 in the 200 meter dash. Holy Cross placed four runners in the top 15 of the 800 meter run including senior Stephen Madsen (New Providence, N.J.), sophomore Nick Athanasidy (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.), sophomore Sam McGrath (Tyngsboro, Mass.) and freshman Trevor Dutton (Burlington, Mass.).

In the throwing competitions, freshman Sean Carey (Newburyport, Mass.) took the top spot amongst Crusaders with a distance of 12.15 meters in the weight throw. Finishing right behind Carey with a throw of 12.00 meters was sophomore Kyle Carr (Westerly, R.I.).

The men's indoor track team returns to action on Feb. 4 when they travel to Maine.
