Men's Track And Field Competes At New England Championship

BOSTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's track and field team competed in the two-day New England Championship this weekend placing 23rd of 34 teams. The 4x800 meter relay team finished fourth and senior Dan Altenau (Eastchester, N.Y.) took eighth in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 8:26.79 to lead the Crusaders with two top 10 finishes.

Other top Holy Cross finishers included senior Alex Martin (Sutton, Mass.) in the triple jump with a distance of 13.35 meters, sophomore Ross Davies (Salem, N.H.) in the 200 meter dash who tied the school record set in 1990 with a time of 22.36 seconds and freshman Trevor Dutton (Burlington, Mass.) in the 800 meter run who crossed the finish line at 1:53.64.

Select members of the men's track and field team will compete in the IC4A Championship on March 3-4.
