2012: Competed in the shot put, discus throw, hammer throw and weight throw … posted season-best marks in the shot put (10.48m) at New Hampshire with Stonehill and Worcester State (Jan. 21), discus (32.16m) at the second Holy Cross Invitational (April 24), hammer (33.25m) at the first Holy Cross Invitational (April 21) and weight throw (11.36) at Maine (Feb. 4).
Before Holy Cross: Member of the varsity track
and field team at Medfield High School, competing as a thrower
… captained team as a senior … ranked fourth in the
Tri-Valley league in the shot put during his junior and senior
seasons … team won the indoor league championship his
sophomore and senior seasons … also played two seasons of
varsity football … won team’s Sportsmanship Award as a
freshman and junior.
Personal: Son of Chris and Maureen Barrett . ..has
two brothers (Connor and Jack) and one sister (Katie) ... has not
yet declared a major.
