Men's Indoor Track And Field To Travel To Valentine Invitational Saturday

  • The Holy Cross men's indoor track and field team will return to competition on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University at 10:30 a.m.
  • Last season, junior Ross Daies (Salem, N.H.) took the top finish for the Crusaders in the track events while graduate Alex Martin was the top team finisher in the field events. Sophomore Mike Galasso (Danvers, Mass.) recorded what would end up being the best time of the season for any Crusader in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 49.67 seconds.
  • Following the Valentine Invitational, the Crusaders will travel to West Point, N.Y. to participate in the 2013 Patriot League Indoor Championship, hosted by Army, on Friday-Sunday, Feb. 15-17.
  • In last weekend's dual meet versus Maine, Galasso, sophomore Sean Carey (Newburyport, Mass.) and freshman Tim Dunn (Fords, N.J.) each recorded first place finishes for the Crusaders. The 4x440-yard relay team comprised of freshman Lucas Keefer (Yonkers, N.Y.), junior Sam McGrath (Tyngsboro, Mass.) and seniors Nick Petsky (Manorville, N.Y.) and Nick Poles (Quincy, Mass.) also added a first place finish for the Crusaders.
