Men's Track & Field Eighth In Patriot League Preseason Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's track and field team was selected to finish eighth in the 2013 outdoor track and field Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Navy received nine first place votes and 92 points to edge out Bucknell, which got 90 points and seven first place votes, for the top overall spot. The Midshipmen won the Patriot League Indoor Championship on Feb. 17.

Army was selected third with 76 points, Lehigh was voted fourth with 62 points and Lafayette was selected fifth with 50 points. American (31), Colgate (29) and Holy Cross (18) rounded out the poll.

Holy Cross will begin outdoor action this Saturday, March 30, at the Dick Shea Open at 9:00 a.m..
