LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior Tim Moczula (Edison, N.J.) finished sixth in the final of the 60-meter hurdles as the Holy Cross men's indoor track and field team wrapped up the 2014 Patriot League Championship on Sunday, hosted by Bucknell. Moczula finished with a time of 8.41 seconds. The Crusaders finished sixth in the team competition with 25.33 points while Navy won the team title with 201.83 points.
Senior Sam McGrath (Tyngsboro, Mass.) finished fourth in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:28.42, sophomore Lucas Keefer (Yonkers, N.Y.) took fifth in the 500-meter run with a time of 1:06.27 and the distance medley relay team of sophomore Francisco Tejidor (Coral Gables, Fla.), senior Nick Petsky (Manorville, N.Y.), junior Mike Galasso (Danvers, Mass.) and senior Dylan Villescas (Las Cruces, N.M.) finished fifth with a time of 10:11.27.
The 4x400-meter relay team comprised of sophomore Dominic Abacherli (Boxborough, Mass.), freshman Michael Andre (Feeding Hills, Mass.), McGrath and junior Trevor Dutton (Burlington, Mass.) added an eighth place finish with a time of 3:28.46.
Qualifying members of the men's indoor track and field team will return to action on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28 and March 1, at the New England Championship.
