John Hoogasian enters his 21st season in 2012-2013 as an assistant coach for the Holy Cross track and field team. Hoogasian served as an assistant coach for the Crusaders from December 1991 to June 2008 and returned to the position in February of 2010. Hoogasian was an assistant coach for the UMass track and field team for the 2008-2009 season.
Hoogasian brings over 37 years of coaching experience,
specializing in horizontal and vertical jumps, along with sprints.
From 1975 to 1991, Hoogasian served as the head cross country coach
at Worcester State, along with coaching the indoor and outdoor
track and field teams. Hoogasian has been the regional chairperson
for USA Track and Field Pole Vault Development since 1991.
