Men's Cross Country Wraps Up 2012 Season

  • The Holy Cross men's cross country team concluded the 2012 season at the IC4A Championship on Saturday, Nov. 17. Three members of the team finished the race at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. Sophomore Matt Muilenburg (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) led the team with a time of 28:50.0 on the five mile course.
  • Sophomore John Cicchitti (Warminster, Pa.) was the first Crusader finisher in every race he competed in this season. He ran a best time of 24:58.42 at the New England Championship on Oct. 7. Cicchitti's highest finish of the season came at the Paul Short Invitational (Sept. 1) where he finished 10th of 283 runners in the field.
  • Cicchitti took home Patriot League Runner of the Week honors that for the week of Oct. 1-7. Freshman Dennis Muldoon (Weymouth, Mass.) is the only other Crusader to earn league recognition this year, taking home Rookie of the Week the week of Oct. 1-7 as well. Muldoon finished with a career-best time of 26:06.17 at the New England Championship.
