WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's basketball team participated in a program called "Gear Up" on Wednesday, October 14, to get inner city students made aware of colleges. The Worcester District Attorney's office sponsored the event with 44 seventh and eigth graders from Worcester East Middle School. The younger students came to the Holy Cross campus after lunch, had a campus tour, took part in a basketball clinic with the team, had a chance to play some mini games on the court and then had a pizza dinner with the Holy Cross women's basketball team. The Crusaders plan on holding another event with these kids - and hopefully even more - in the spring!
