WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross freshman forward/guard Amy Lepley (Norfolk, Mass.) has been named the Anaconda Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second time in three weeks after averaging 9.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in three contests last week against La Salle, Howard and Dartmouth. She made 12-of-21 (.571) field goals, including 4-of-7 (.571) from behind the three-point line.
Lepley, who won the award for the first time in her career for the week of Dec. 14-20, poured in a career and season high 13 points in the Jan. 2 game against Dartmouth, leading the team in points for the first time this season. She went six-for-seven from the field in the contest, tallying a season-high .857 field goal percentage.
Lepley tallied seven assists and four steals on Dec. 30 against Howard to lead the team. She also notched a career-best six rebounds while playing a career-high 41 minutes against the Bison. She has scored in double-figures in four of the last five games and has earned her place as a consistent starter for the Crusaders, tallying four consecutive starts at forward/guard.
Holy Cross will wrap up its non-conference schedule when it hosts the Rhode Island Rams on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Tip time is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Hart Center in Worcester, Mass.
