Seven Women's Basketball Players Make Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. - Seven members of the Holy Cross women's basketball team have been selected to the 2009-2010 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office. The Crusaders seven selections to the Academic Honor Roll tied for the second-most in the Patriot League.
Leading the Crusaders was senior forward Tayana Carper (Shrewsbury, Mass.), who was named to the team for the fourth straight season. Junior forward Whitney Fremeau (Manchester, N.H.), junior guard Alyssa May (Oradell, N.J.), senior guard Bethany O'Dell (Lincoln, R.I.) and senior guard Jessica Pearson (West Chester, Pa.) all made their second career appearance on the honor roll, while freshman forward Kaitlin Cole (Springfield, Pa.) and freshman guard Amy Lepley (Norfolk, Mass.) were all honored for the first time.
A total of 51 student-athletes from women's basketball teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester.
