WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior forward Whitney Fremeau (Manchester, N.H.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from November 22-28. Fremeauled the Holy Cross women's basketball team to a 2-0 record last week, with victories over New Hampshire (78-67) and Harvard (72-53).
During Tuesday night's win over the Wildcats, Fremeau led the team with 16 points and five rebounds. Then is Sunday afternoon's victory over the Crimson, she totaled 15 points, five rebounds and six assists. Over the course of the two games, Fremeau averaged 15.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest, while hitting 52.0 percent (13 of 25) of her shots from the field.
On the season, Fremeau is averaging a team-best 12.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Over the course of her Holy Cross career, she has now totaled 739 points, 351 rebounds, 165 assists and 59 steals.
The Crusaders (3-3 overall) return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 1, when they play host to Central Connecticut at 7:00 p.m.
