Five Women's Basketball Players Make Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. - Five members of the Holy Cross women's basketball team have been selected to the 2011-2012 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office. Leading the Crusaders were junior forward Amy Lepley (Norfolk, Mass.) and sophomore forward Christine Ganser (Needham, Mass.), who were both named to the team for the second time in their careers.
Joining Lepley and Ganser were sophomore guard Alex Smith (Delran, N.J.), freshman guard Ashley Cooper (Colts Neck, N.J.) and freshman forward Emily Parker (Johnston, Iowa), who were all honored for the first time.
A total of 50 student-athletes from women's basketball teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester.
