Holy Cross Places Two On College Sports Madness' Preseason All-League Teams

WORCESTER, MASS. – Holy Cross junior guard Alex Smith (Delran, N.J.) and senior forward/guard Amy Lepley (Norfolk, Mass.) each earned bids to the 2012-2013 College Sports Madness Patriot League Preseason All-Conference Teams.

Smith was selected to the first team after she averaged 12.5 points and 5.5 assists per game in 2011-2012. She also connected on 37 percent of her three pointers (85-for-229) to lead the Crusaders as she was selected to the first team All-Patriot League last season. Lepley was named to the second team as she is coming off her best season in the purple and white. In 2011-2012, Lepley led the squad with 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. In addition, she was selected to the 2011-2012 second team All-Patriot League. 

Both Smith and Lepley were also named team captains for the 2012-2013 campaign.

The Crusaders will open up the season on Friday, November 9, as they will host Yale at 7:00 p.m. in the Hart Center.
