WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore guard Ashley Cooper (Colts Neck, N.J.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 4-10. Cooper the Holy Cross women's basketball team to a 72-66 victory at Lehigh on Sunday, in its only game last week.
During the game with the Mountain Hawks, Cooper totaled a career-high 19 points, three rebounds and three steals. She hit six out of seven attempts from three-point range on the day, including a pair of three-pointers during a 16-6 run in the second half which gave Holy Cross the lead for good.
On the season, Cooper is now averaging 6.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game, while connecting on 42.2 percent (19 of 45) of her three-point field goal attempts. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has now totaled 153 points, 66 rebounds, 22 steals and 22 assists.
Holy Cross (12-11 overall, 4-4 Patriot League) returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 13, when it travels to Navy for a 7:00 p.m. game.
