Holy Cross Places Three On Academic All-League Team

WORCESTER, Mass. - Three members of the Holy Cross women's basketball team have been selected to the 2007-2008 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Leading the Crusaders were senior guard Laura Aloisi (Nashua, N.H.) and senior forward Ashley McLaughlin (Andover, Mass.), who both posted a 3.43 grade point averages during the spring semester. Joining Aloisi and McLaughlin on the Academic Honor Roll was sophomore forward Tayana Carper (Shrewsbury, Mass.).
A total of 45 student-athletes from women's basketball teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester, and be a varsity letterwinner on her team.
Holy Cross finished the 2007-2008 campaign with an overall record of 19-13, and placed second in the Patriot League with a 10-4 mark in conference games.
