WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman guard Bethany O'Dell (Lincoln, R.I.) collected 16 points last week including 11 in her collegiate debut against Yale as the Holy Cross women's Basketball team went 1-1 in their first week of the season.
O'Dell recorded 33 minutes in the season opener against Yale on Friday night. As well as collecting the team's third-high 11 points, she went two for two at the line and four for seven from the field. Sunday O'Dell scored five points and had two steals in the 67-55 loss to St. Peter's.
O'Dell shot 50% from the field averaging eight points in the first two games of the season. She also had five rebounds, three steals and a block. O'Dell is tied seventh in the Patriot League with a .400 three-point field goal percentage.
Senior center Kaitlin Foley (Albany, N.Y.) and junior guard Laura Aloisi (Nashua, NH) both received honorable mention from the Patriot League for their performances last week. Foley averaged 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game and went 8- for-11 at the line. Aloisi had 29 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds over two games.
The Crusaders travel to Hamden, Conn. to face Quinnipiac, Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
