Field Hockey Team Places Eight On Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. – Eight members of the Holy Cross field hockey team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office. Headlining the Crusaders were senior midfielder Emily Allen (Lee, N.H.) and junior midfielder/defender Lindsay MacPhail (Goffstown, N.H.), who were both named to the Academic Honor Roll for the third consecutive year. American led all of the school with 16 honorees, while Lehigh was second with 13 members.
Senior goalkeeper Kelly Sotsky (Wayne, N.J.), junior defender Jess Dodakian (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and sophomore forward Molly Feit (Acton, Mass.) were all named to the Honor Roll for the second time in their careers. First-time selections to the honor roll include junior forward Carly Grimaudo (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.), and freshmen midfielders Michelle McNeil (Canton, Mass.) and Kaitlyn Murray (Farmington, Conn.).
A total of 68 student-athletes from field hockey teams across the Patriot League were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, the student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average during the fall 2012 semester.
