Lauren Coletta Named Crusader Of The Week

Oct. 22, 2007

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior midfielder Lauren Coletta (Mendon, Mass.) has been named the Crusader of the Week, for competition from October 15-21. Coletta led the Holy Cross field hockey team to a 3-2 victory at Bucknell in its only contest last week.

In the Bucknell game, Coletta knocked home a pass from senior forward Sara O'Coin (Worcester, Mass.) after a scramble in front of the goal, to give the Crusaders a 2-1 lead at the 26:10-mark. Coletta then picked up an assist just over a minute later, when she took a hard shot from the top of the circle, which was tipped into the cage by sophomore midfielder Courtney Callahan (Acton, Mass.).

In six games played so far this season, Coletta has now totaled six points on one goal and four assists. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has recorded 10 points on two goals and six assists.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, October 27, when they play host to American at 12:00 p.m.
