Women’s Golf Places Fourth At Patriot League Championship

LEWISBERG, Pa. – The Holy Cross women's golf team competed the inaugural Patriot League Championship in fourth place with a total score of 1116 strokes (+276), as Lehigh claimed the league title with a combined tally of 941 strokes (+101) on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21 at the Par-70 Bucknell Golf Club.

Bucknell finished in second place with a team total of 944 strokes (+104) and Navy placed third with a total sum of 1054 strokes (+205). Lehigh's Chelsea Michalek claimed the tournament medalist with a three-round total of 227 (+17).  

Holy Cross freshman Marisa Cameron (Garden City, N.Y.) finished in 15th place with a total score of 262 (+52) to lead the Crusaders as sophomore co-captain Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) placed 16th with a 54-hole total of 264 (+54). Senior co-captain Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) carded a three-round total of 293 (+83), which put her in 19th place, while freshman Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) finished in 20th with a score of 301 (+91).

Crusaders freshmen Claire McMahon (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Erika Park (Berlin, Conn.) rounded out the scoring for Holy Cross with totals of 304 (+94; 21st place) and 317 (+107; 22nd place), respectively.

Holy Cross will conclude the 2012-2013 season with the two-day Nazareth Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28 at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford, N.Y.
