WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's golf program has named junior Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) as the 2013-2014 team captain. This the second straight year she has been a captain.
As a freshman, she led the team with an 85.5 stokes average and was the top team finisher in six of the seven total events, earning three top-25 finishes. She recorded a season-low two-round score of 163 twice. Her lowest round of the season, a 77, came at the Mount Holyoke Invitational and was the lowest round by any member of the Holy Cross team.
She is also a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and was named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll as a freshman.
