Women’s Golf Earns Six Spots On Academic Honor Roll
WORCESTER, Mass. - Six members of the Holy Cross women's golf team earned a spot on the 2014 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office. The Crusaders' six selections were the second most in the league, trailing only Bucknell who had seven make the honor roll.
Sophomores Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) and Regan McCooey (Manhasset, N.Y.) both placed on the Academic Honor Roll for the second time in their careers. First time members to the Academic Honor Roll included junior Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.), sophomores Marisa Cameron (Garden City, N.Y.) and Claire McMahon (Buffalo, N.Y.) and freshman Mackenzie Horl (Garden City, N.Y.). Horl posted the highest GPA on the team with a 3.65 grade-point average.
A total of 24 student-athletes from women's golf teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester.
