WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore forward Caroline English (Dorchester, Mass.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from November 29-December 5. English led the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team to a 3-0 record last week, with victories over Wesleyan (4-1), Plymouth State (9-2) and Southern Maine (1-0 in overtime).
During Tuesday's win over Wesleyan, English had an assist on the Crusaders' second goal of the night. She followed that up with a goal and four assists for five points in Friday night's victory at Plymouth State. Her four assists against the Panthers tied for the second most every by a Holy Cross player in a single game. English then concluded the week by scoring the game-winning goal just 12 seconds into overtime during Saturday's victory at Southern Maine.
On the season, English ranks second on the team in scoring with five goals and eight assists for 13 points. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has now totaled 38 points on 12 goals and 26 assists.
The Crusaders (8-2 overall, 6-1 ECAC East) return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 7, when they play host to Connecticut College at 7:00 p.m.
