WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior forward Stacey Hochkins (New Boston, Mich.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 21-27. Hochkins totaled two goals and four assists last week, while helping to lead the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team to the ECAC Open Tournament title.
During Saturday's ECAC Open semifinals, Hochkins tallied two goals and an assist in the 5-3 victory over Sacred Heart. Her first goal opened the scoring at the 2:15-mark of the second period, while her second goal 1:44 into the third period proved to be the game winner. Hochkins then added three assists during Sunday's ECAC championship game against St. Anselm. She had assists on the Crusaders' final three goals of the game, before Holy Cross won in a shootout after the teams played to a 4-4 tie.
Overall this season, Hochkins led the team in scoring with 46 points on 24 goals and 22 asssits. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has now totaled 75 goals and 68 assists for 143 points.
The 2010-2011 season is now complete for the Crusaders.
