WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross freshman forward Kati Goguen (Acton, Mass.) has been named the ECAC East women's ice hockey Rookie of the Week for games played Jan. 28-Feb. 3, as announced by the league. Goguen scored the game-tying goal in Holy Cross' come-from-behind 2-2 tie versus Saint Anselm on Friday, Feb. 1. This is the third time Goguen has received Rookie of the Week honors this season.
Goguen leads all Holy Cross freshmen and is tied for fifth on the team in scoring with 12 points on five goals and seven assists. She is also now tied for fifth in the ECAC East conference in rookie scoring. Her goal against the Hawks last week marked her third power play goal of the season, tying her for first on the team. Goguen becomes the first Crusader to earn ECAC East Rookie of the Week honors three times in one season since graduate Stacey Hochkins in 2008-2009.
Holy Cross will return to the ice on Friday, Feb. 8, against Nichols on the road in Burrillville, R.I. at 7:40 p.m.
