CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Holy Cross women's ice hockey freshman Izzy Bagi (Branford, Conn.) has been named to the ECAC Women's East All-Rookie and second team All-Conference teams, as announced by the league and voted on by the league's coaches each year. Juniors Nicole Giannino (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Krista Manzanares (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) each earned ECAC Women's East All-Conference Honorable Mentions.
Bagi racked up a total of 15 points (four goals and 11 assists) in her rookie season as a Crusader. She also currently leads all Holy Cross freshman in points through 25 games this season, adding one game-winning goal.
Giannino leads the team with a total of 25 points (12 goals and 13 assists) and two game-winning goals. Manzanares is 8-4-0 on the season and has posted a .916 save percentage and 1.47 goals-against average in 13 games. She was named ECAC East women's ice hockey Goalie of the Week twice this season.
The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team (17-7-1, 11-4-1 ECAC East) will host the 2014 ECAC Open Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22-23. No. 2 Holy Cross will face off against No. 3 Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. while No. 1 St. Anselm will play No. 4 St. Michael's at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The consolation game will take place on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. while the championship game will be at 5:00 p.m.
