Katie Falkowski Receives Presidential Service Award
Three Crusader athletes are among a total of 12 Holy Cross students who have been named 2008 Presidential Service Award recipients, as announced today by the college's student affairs department. Seniors Katie Falkowski, Cal St. Denis and Victor Vaval have all earned Presidential recognition after being nominated by members of the faculty and staff for their service and contributions to the college and greater Worcester communities. A forward on the women's ice hockey team, Falkowski played in 22 games this season, scoring six points on two goals and four assists. (more)

Crusaders Place 9 On All-Academic Team
Nine members of the women's ice hockey team have been named to the 2008 ECAC East All-Academic team. The Crusaders' nine selections were the second-most in the conference, behind only Manhattanville with 10 players. Holy Cross players selected to the team include seniors Meghan Donovan, Katie Falkowski, Casey Harvell, Parny Ormiston and Sam Rush; juniors Stephanie Couzin and Amy McGhee; and sophomores Kathryn Kelley and Kathryn O'Connor. Holy Cross Announces Captains
Senior forward Stephanie Couzin (Chicago, Ill.) and junior defenseman Lisa Wilson (Corunna, Ontario) will serve as co-captains for the 2008-2009 women's ice hockey team, as announced by the hockey program. Couzin led the team with 25 points during the 2007-2008 season, including 10 goals and 15 assists. She scored two goals on the power play, two short-handed and had one game-winner. Wilson led the team with 12 goals scored during the 2007-2008 season. (more)
