WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman defender Kylee McIntosh (Stratford, Ontario) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 2-8. McIntosh totaled one goal and two assists last weekend, as the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team posted victories over MIT and St. Michael's.
During Saturday's 6-1 win over MIT, McIntosh assisted on a goal by sophomore forward Jocelyn Kratchmer (Watrous, Saskatchewan) in the first period, giving the Crusaders a 1-0 lead. Then in Sunday's 9-0 victory over St. Michael's, she scored her first collegiate goal at the 4:54-mark of the third period to make the score 6-0. She also had an assist on Kratchmer's game-winning goal against the Purple Knights. In addition to her scoring, McIntosh was a key part of the Holy Cross defense which allowed just one goal in the two games.
On the season, McIntosh has now totaled one goal and seven assists for eight points.
The Crusaders (19-1-1 overall, 14-1-1 ECAC East) return to action on Friday, February 13, when they travel to Norwich for a 7:00 p.m. game.
