Kolt Bloxson Receives John P. Cooney Memorial Award

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior forward Kolt Bloxson (Fitchburg, Mass.), a member of the women's ice hockey team, has received the John P. Cooney Memorial Award. The award was presented at the 52nd Annual Varsity Club Dinner, held at the Hogan Campus Center on Saturday, May 6.
The Cooney Award is presented each year to a senior letterwinner who has performed beyond all expectations with courage, loyalty and dedication. Bloxson ranked third on the team in scoring this season with 21 points on 11 goals and 10 assists. Over the course of her four-year career as a Crusader, she totaled 113 points on 56 goals and 57 assists. Off the ice, Bloxson worked with the City of Worcester and the Student Government Association to earn Holy Cross a No Place for Hate designation through the Anti-Defamation League. She also took part in a summer immersion program in Kenya through the Chaplains' Office.
