Crusaders To Play #16 Navy On Senior Day

  • The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team will return to action for a game at Holy Cross Field on Saturday, April 6, when it plays Patriot League opponent No. 16 Navy at 12:00 p.m. The Mids, who play at Longwood on April 2, are 11-1 overall this season and 3-0 in the Patriot League. Last season these two teams met twice as Navy won the regular season match up and defeated Holy Cross in the Patriot League Tournament championship game. Navy won both games by an 18-11 score.   
  • The Navy game will also be Senior Day. Before the contest, Maddie Carrellas (Middletown, R.I.), Sara Cox (Chatham, N.J.), Sarah Daly (Ridgewood, N.J.), Tina Marino (Hillsborough, N.J.), Caroline Pedlow (Charlotte, N.C.), Kat Sutton (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Taylor Zebrowski (Verona, N.J.) will be honored.
  • Junior Sara Hennessey (Winchester, Mass.) leads the team with 27 goals and 32 points. She has scored at least one goal in 28 straight games. Her 2.25 goals per game are 10th in the Patriot League. Hennessey netted the game-winner with a last second shot in overtime in the 15-14 win versus Colgate on March 30. She has two game-winning goals this season and nine for her career. Hennessey has five hat-tricks this season and 13 for her career. She has 86 goals and eight assists for 94 career points. Her 96 career draw controls are fifth all-time in program history.
  • Freshman Kaitlin Concilio (Ridgewood, N.J.) leads the team with nine assists. Her 0.75 assists per game are 10th in the Patriot League. She also has two goals for 11 points.
  • Carrellas leads the team with 14 caused turnovers as her 1.17 caused turnovers per game are fifth in the Patriot League. She has 50 career caused turnovers which are fifth all-time in program history, while she also has 70 goals and 13 assists for 83 career points.
  • Sutton has 22 goals and three assists for 25 points. Her 0.75 free-position goals per game are third in the league. For her career she has 113 goals and 22 assists for 135 points. Her 113 goals are seventh all-time in program history and her 135 points are ninth. Also her 95 career draw controls are tied for sixth all-time.
  • Zebrowski has 29 points as she has 22 goals and seven assists. She has 103 goals and 37 assists for 140 career points. Her 37 career assists are tied for sixth all-time in program history, while her 140 points are seventh and her 103 goals are eighth.
  • Sophomore Corinne Caracausa (North Wales, Pa.) leads the team with a career-best 24 ground balls. Her 2.00 ground balls per game are tied for fifth in the Patriot League. 
  • Sophomore Laura Ryan (Stirling, N.J.) leads the team with 30 draw controls. Her 95 career draw controls are tied for sixth all-time in program history.
